It presents itself as a new cultural space in Lisbon, with a transversal and multidisciplinary program that crosses different contemporary artistic expressions. Located in Beato, Casa Capitão reopens in September and begins a new stage: a cultural programming space dedicated to creation, experimentation and sharing. The opening is scheduled for September 19, with a free access weekend offering more than 40 activities for all ages.

After the pop-up project launched during the pandemic and a complete renovation of the building, Casa Capitão is now established as a long-term project. A space where different areas dedicated to cultural programming, restaurants and leisure, and environments — concert halls, galleries, patio, restaurant, terrace and multipurpose areas — meet, designed to host artistic proposals of various scales and formats.

Casa Capitão presents a continuous and multidisciplinary program, which integrates music, word and discourse, thought and debate, visual and performing arts, training and creation, audiovisual and new media, gastronomy, design and fashion. It is a space of freedom, critical thinking and inclusion, which welcomes diverse artists, creators and audiences, valuing artistic freedom, attentive listening and collaborative work.

Casa Capitão also includes programming projects with their own identity. Quiosque starts from the word and critical thinking as starting points for crossings with other artistic languages. Baile focuses on music and dance as popular and urban cultural practices, to create collective experiences on the dance floor. Mesa proposes a creative and interdisciplinary approach to food, exploring gastronomy as a cultural practice and space for sharing.
