Tabanka Records is a project created in Amadora in mid-2019. Initially conceived as a vinyl store, it quickly evolved into a platform for artist production and promotion. A bridge between the past and present of African music, with a very strong presence of Lusophone cultures, especially Cape Verdean.
Projects like Acácia Maior, Mama Demba, Landa or Rally Fantasia, and a vast collection of records from the 70s to 90s are part of this sonic universe. Tabanka Records parties are a dance between vinyl and digital, old and new, electronic and organic! But above all, lots of dancing without looking at labels, styles, or genres!
