SREYA + IGUANAS

Sreya debuted in music in 2017 with the surprise release of Emocional, produced by Conan Osiris. In 2020, she followed up with Cãezinha Gatinha, a collaborative project with Bejaflor and Primeira Dama. Beyond music, she continues to explore her creativity through various visual arts. Currently, she’s working on a new album, produced in collaboration with Orca and BA.

The iconic Lisbon-based band Iguanas is preparing to release their third album later in 2025. Ahead of the launch, they will perform live at Casa Capitão on September 21, in a concert where they’ll unveil previously unreleased tracks that will feature on the upcoming record — songs that have been quietly making their way into live sets across Lisbon over the past few months. The setlist will also include music from their previous albums, Lua Cheia and Doce — the latter recently reissued on cassette by Rotten ~ Fresh, in collaboration with Cafetra Records, and now available in both physical and digital formats.

Iguanas’ sound blends lo-fi psychedelia, post-punk, and dissonant pop, with lyrics that swing between the absurd and the confessional. Their freeform and unorthodox approach to songwriting has made them one of the most distinctive and enduring acts in Portuguese alternative music in recent years.

This concert at Casa Capitão marks a new chapter in the band’s discography, as they continue to expand their sonic universe with artistic clarity, melodic tension, and an unmistakable identity.

Formed by Lourenço Crespo and Leonardo Bindilatti, Iguanas maintain a discreet yet influential presence in Portugal’s underground scene. Crespo also pursues a solo career defined by melodic and introspective synth pop, while Bindilatti releases raw, percussive electronic music under the alias Rabu Mazda, plays frenetic drums in Putas Bêbadas, and is part of other projects such as As Tainhas da Noite.
