Matxikadu is a dance and music performance-concert that combines electronic music, hip hop, kuduro, and traditional Angolan music. In this performance, Lukano Msasy seeks to deconstruct the stereotype of the black man in Portugal, in his relationship with violence and masculinity. A show that aims to reclaim the idea of future, showing how the black body can overcome its traumas, away from stereotypes, gaining the freedom to be what it is, as the creator of its own future.
Lukano Mpsay is a performer, dancer, and producer. He began his journey in traditional African dances, kuduro, and kizomba. Later, he became interested in hip hop, from breakdance to popping and ragga. He joined several dance groups, developing and perfecting these styles, in dialogue with contemporary dance and ballroom dancing. He underwent various training in modern dance, hip-hop, kuduro, and physical theater, both in Portugal and abroad.
Event subject to venue capacity.
