One of the leading figures in contemporary Brazilian song, Luiza Brina is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music producer.

Her latest album Prece caught attention outside Brazil, being chosen as the editor’s best of the year at NPR’s (National Public Radio) Tiny Desk, and was the only Brazilian album mentioned among NPR’s 50 best albums of 2024. It was also recognized as one of the best in Latin America by music critics from Colombia and Venezuela, and mentioned by Esperanza Spalding in an interview with an Australian newspaper as one of the most exciting albums in recent times. American critic Richard Villegas also highlighted it as one of Latin America’s most precious discoveries. Luiza Brina was also part of the bands Graveola and Boreal.

Maria Beraldo is one of the most prominent artists in the contemporary scene and one of the most relevant queer voices in Brazilian music. A clarinetist since youth, she initially worked in São Paulo’s music scene as an instrumentalist, having performed with Elza Soares, Arrigo Barnabé, among others. In 2018, she released CAVALA, her first solo album, which introduced her as a singer, producer, and composer, and launched her as a leading figure in the Brazilian scene, earning her several nominations and a WME award.

Besides this project, Maria is part of the instrumental group Quartabê, which recently released its fourth album and has performed at festivals in Brazil, Europe, Japan, and South America. The artist is also an important name in music for theater and cinema in Brazil.
