Hair in the wind, honest verses, and raw nerves. It’s through the power of truth and the exaltation of reality that bbb hairdryer presents their new album: A Single Mother / A Single Woman / An Only Child. Ten tracks that evoke ghosts, anxieties, and mockery in both physical and spiritual form through abrasive queercore. Two years after their debut album Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix: pretty generic radio pop with a fewfucks and edgelord lyrics and with a consolidated lineup featuring chica on guitar, Francisco Couto (SAD / HIFA) on bass, and Miguel Gomes (Chinaskee / GATOSOL) on drums, the band conjured by Elisabete Guerra now brings to the stage the collective liberation we’re constantly needing.

Vaiapraia

Rodrigo Vaiapraia is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist from Setúbal. He began composing and performing songs live in 2013. As Vaiapraia, he released a solo EP in 2014 (Experimentáculo Records). Between 2014 and 2018, his music became a shared labor of love in trio form as “Vaiapraia e As Rainhas do Baile” (Shelley Barradas, Helena Fagundes, Lucía Vives, and Ana Farinha). In 2016, he released his debut LP “1755” (Spring Toast Records), a direct and proud heir to the punk riot grrrl and queercore movements, complemented by a fanzine featuring visual and written experiences. His live performances are opportunities to showcase songs and build community, regardless of geography or situation. One of the founders of the agency/promoter/producer Maternidade and Rama Em Flor festival, he collaborates with Plataforma 285 as a performer and writes for film with director Paula Tomás Marques.

Lesma

Lesma is an emerging band from Sintra and the South Bank, making music for people to dance, sing, and go all out. Leonor (guitar, vocals), Beatriz (drums, vocals), and Rita (bass) bring their different musical genre influences to create their distinct and free sound.

Conferência Inferno

After discoursing on the latest post-punk treatises and synthesizer revival waves in their Esoteric Bazaar, after reviewing the gothic documentation submitted for plenary consideration in Ata Saturna, and after requesting peer review through a remix album, there’s very little doubt that Conferência Inferno are Portugal’s leading specialists in the dark practices of electric rock. And it’s in this capacity that they return to expose their inventive methodology of sonic hermeneutics through their new album Pós-Esmeralda, a collection of songs that aims to expand the emotional possibilities of the Porto-based ensemble. For this attempt, Conferência Inferno goes beyond being just a messenger and grows into the role of master of ceremonies, forging an increasingly distinctive sonic path.
