BONGA + CARLOS PEDRO + NAY
Bonga is an iconic name in Angolan culture and will be the guest of honor at Casa Capitão for a night dedicated to hot African rhythms, happening on September 26.
In the first part, young Cape Verdean singer Nay will whet the appetite for the night’s performance with her upbeat and passionate songs. Also part of this stellar lineup is RDP-África radio host and African music specialist Carlos Pedro, who will be in charge of the DJ set that will keep bodies moving tirelessly on the dance floor.
In the year celebrating six decades of his career, Bonga will heat up the ground floor of Casa Capitão with his semba filled with nostalgia, love, and social criticism. After all, the musician is, beyond being an essential name in African music, a symbol of anti-fascist resistance.
On an unforgettable night, the tropical African rhythms will raise the temperature at Casa Capitão, counting on everyone to celebrate with us this historic name in African music.
