The album is a shimmering megalopolis, a reimagining of Y2K songwriting that simultaneously shows wonder and awareness of its place in the vastness. Short instrumental interludes work as portals between imposing and vigorous songs. “It ended up being about time, dinosaurs and space,” says Nate Amos. “We wanted to present a wide range of styles in a way that acknowledged that all of this is just a tiny moment.”
